The Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, was pleased to announce the staging of Olu Haluwo, a Sinhala stage drama produced by the acclaimed artist Chinthaka Piris, as part of the Faculty’s Silver Jubilee celebrations marking 25 years of academic excellence (2001–2026).
The performance was held on Friday, 6th June 2026 at 6.30 p.m. at the Surapura Open-Air Theatre, Anuradhapura. Directed by Janaka Samantha and featuring musical direction by Ashan Pranandu, the production brings together a distinguished cast of renowned Sri Lankan performers, including Chinthaka Piris, Mihira Sirithilaka, Sarath Kothalawala, Prabuda Chaturanga, and Janaka Ranasingha.
Olu Haluwo is a comedy drama centred on the theme of youth transitioning into adulthood, offering a culturally rich and entertaining theatrical experience for audiences of all backgrounds. The event reflected the Faculty’s commitment to promoting arts and culture alongside academic and research excellence.
