The faculty was established in 2001 at Puliyankulama, just a few kilometres from the historic
city of Anuradhapura and about ten kilometres from Mihintale where the University’s main
administrative complex is located. It has grown from three founding departments to four
dynamic academic departments:

Faculty of Agriculture offer their services to the students and the society with the well equipped facilities in order to promote the dry zone agriculture globally applicable.
A gift from the AHEAD Project; A fully equipped learning centre with internet access which can facilitate sessions with maximum of 60 participants.
Sustainable initiatives including research, extension, development, and awareness programs are disseminated to relevant communities.
Services provided to the whole community by analyzing the samples. The services are monitored by the subject experts of all the departments to obtain results in an accurate and standard conditions.
Indoor facilities are available for students including badminton, basketball, carom, chess, and table tennis. Also, weightlifting, wrestling, taekwondo, and other
martial arts activities are available.
