The inauguration ceremony of the new entrants for undergraduate degree program of Faculty of Agriculture (2022/2023 batch) was successfully held on 24th April 2024 at the Auditorium, Faculty of Agriculture. This event was graced by the chief guest, Prof. (Mrs.) GAS. Ginigaddara, Vice Chancellor, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. As this ceremony stands as the official welcome for the new entrants of the faculty, all the students and their parents got the opportunity to become aware of the university life and degree program through valuable insights shared by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. GVTV. Weerasooriya, Dean of the faculty and Prof. Thusitha Amarasekara, Senior student counsellor of the faculty.
Presenting of the Deans’ list and faculty awardees to the current undergraduates of the faculty which is introduced for the first time lured this occasion and provided a great inspiration for the new entrants at the very first day of their university life. The Deans’ list awardees were evaluated for the best academic performance while faculty awardee was evaluated for the academic performance along with extra- curricular achievements of the students.
