The inauguration ceremony of the Master of Agriculture and the Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Development programmes was held on the 31st of January 2026, at the Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, in hybrid mode. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. Janaka Pushpakumara; Chairman of the Board of Study and Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Janaka Gunarathna; Programme Director, Dr Keerthi Bandara; academic coordinators; academic staff members; the assistant registrar, non-academic staff members; and new students.
