Steps into the world of the Society of Animal and Food Sciences (SAFS) officially launched on 28/06/2023 at the Department of Animal and Food Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. We extend a warm welcome to everyone onboard to our journey!! Our excitement knows no bounds as we embark on this journey together, introducing you to the heart of our dynamic community. SAFS stands as a haven of collaboration and learning, embracing a non-profit ethos that drives us to share knowledge, amplify skills, and cultivate a thriving network among our community members.
Our Objectives
- Work with professionals in the field of Animal and Food Sciences for the betterment of the livestock and food sectors.
- Promote the advancement of Animal and Food Industries in Sri Lanka by disseminating knowledge and strengthening the skills of school children, farmers, and interested parties through various activities.
- Enhance interactions among members of the society with the department/s of the faculty and other relevant institutions.
- Improve the soft skills of the members through personality development.
- Involve in social, cooperative responsibilities for the betterment of the society.
