The farm belonging to the Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata university of Sri Lanka is located in Bandarapuliyankulama in the close proximity of the Faculty premises. It has 32 acres of land area including both uplands and lowlands. All the land area is utilized for cultivating crops and raring animals.
On-faculty farm facility is one of the unique benefits that you get from the Faculty of Agriculture, RUSL. The classroom theory can be practiced in the farm. We have both uplands and lowlands for you to cultivate and area for raring animals. At present lowlands are used for seed paddy production while medicinal plants, orchards, protected culture and pasture can be seen in uplands. Poultry, cattle, buffalo, goat, sheep, and rabbit are reared in livestock section. In addition, a duck-fish integration unit and biogas production unit are maintained. Eggs, chicken meat, yoghurt, curd, and ice cream are available at the sales center as farm products. Seed paddy, mushroom, vegetables and fruits are also can be purchased
from the sales outlet.
