Sri Lanka Inventors Commission is an institution operating under the purview of Ministry of Education. Arrangements have been made to hold Provincial Level Invention Evaluation programmes for the “Sahasak Nimavum 2024” National Invention Exhibition and Competition organized by the Commission. The respective schedule is attached as the Annexure.
“Sahasak Nimavum 2024” National Invention Exhibition and Competition is the largest Invention Exhibition in Sri Lanka to appreciate, encourage and motivate local inventors. Moreover, this exhibition, which is held with the aim of identifying local inventions and socializing the same, is implemented with the aim of improving the innovative skills of the nation.
Valuable prizes, awards and certificates will be presented to the award winning inventors of the “Sahasak Nimavum 2024”. Furthermore, the Commission supports the securing of intellectual property rights for award winning inventions and commercialization approaches with possible development opportunity for the same.
It is our belief that even the research concepts and inventions can be presented for this program and thus the mission of turning the relevant research concepts into practical use can be achieved. Therefore, I kindly request you to inform the academic staff, non-academic staff and students of the university about this programme of national importance and kindly request your support to enable their participation for the programme.
Applicable conditions, instructions and guidelines related to the Provincial Level Invention Evaluation programmes are also attached herewith and I also kindly request you to inform the inventors who wish to participate for this programme to send the completed applications to the Commission through the online method or reach to the Commission via registered post on or before the deadline for the respective provincial evaluation programme.
